We have four own distilleries for the production of our Rose oils, Lavender oils and floral waters, all running on natural gas while the production process is operating under the supervision of a fully automated control system. Distillery 1- our original distillery was built in 1909 by Enio Bonchev. In order to obtain today’s top quality, the distillery has been renovated while the original copper stills and coolers, as well as the traditional technology of direct fire - water distillation have been preserved. As a result, our Rose water is a very stable, food- grade product, with high content of essential oil, long shelf life and an exceptional natural flower aroma.
Our second distillery, with up- to- date steam distillation, was built in 2001 for production of our Natural Rose and Lavender essential oils. The whole equipment is made of stainless steel while the production process is operating under the supervision of a fully automated control system. Distillery 2 is running on natural gas and it is comprised of four distillation stills of 5.5 cubic meters each plus one Cohobation column.
In order to meet the increased demand for quality Bulgarian Organic Rose and Lavender oils, in 2005 we built our new and modern Organic state-of-the art distillery. Opposite to our Organic distillery, we built its mirror counterpart in 2008. This is our fourth distillery designated for production of our Natural Rose and Lavender essential oils and floral waters. Our Organic production is clearly separated from our Natural production. The twin distilleries are completely independent, each comprised of 3 stainless steel stills with capacity of 5.5 cubic meters each as well as each distillery having its own separate Cohobation column. Additional two mobile stainless steel stills with capacity of 5.5 cubic meters each plus separate cohobation column are used during peak moments of harvest. The distilleries are running on natural gas while the production process is operating under the supervision of a fully automated control system.
